Chapel Hill Woman Charged with Graffiti Damage at Peter Dutton’s Office

An 18-year-old woman from Chapel Hill has been charged with willful damage. She is infamously charged with spraying raising awareness as MP Peter Dutton’s office with a giant red graffiti heart. The tragic incident, which occurred in November of 2022, happened in the north Brisbane suburb of Arana Hills.

The 19-year-old was charged with spray-painting red symbols on the glass of Mr Dutton’s office. Alongside the graffiti, red paint and posters were discovered covering one of the office’s windows. This act of vandalism caught the attention of local authorities, resulting in her identification and subsequent arrest.

Law enforcement officials found the woman at Leslie Patrick Park, about 200 metres away from where it all happened. The seriousness with which authorities took the situation was clear from their use of tracker dogs to help locate her.

Because of these charges, the Chapel Hill woman is required to show up in front of the Brisbane Magistrates Court. Her court date is still scheduled for May 20. The case has attracted local media attention, reflecting ongoing public interest in political events and related activities in the area.
