Trump Initiates Legal Action Against Murdoch Over Epstein-Related Report

Donald Trump, former President of the United States, is going to sue Rupert Murdoch. This political decision follows The Wall Street Journal’s reporting this morning that Trump once wrote a very sexually suggestive birthday letter to the late financier and alleged child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. This announcement is made as the heat intensifies on Trump for his former ties with Epstein. Epstein was found dead in a New York prison cell in 2019. The dispute over the supposed letter has reopened fresh investigation into Trump’s ties to Epstein. These relationships go back to the 1990s and early 2000s.

The contentious letter, purportedly signed by Trump, allegedly features text framed by what appears to be a hand-drawn outline of a naked woman and concludes with the phrase, “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.” Trump has loudly disputed the authenticity of this letter, claiming that the language is simply not him.

Background on Trump and Epstein’s Relationship

During that time, in the late 1990s and early aughts, Donald Trump frequently mingled with Epstein. He partied with pedophiles. Ghislaine Maxwell was a favorite. A famous photo taken in February 2000 shows Trump, his then-girlfriend Melania Knauss, Epstein, and Maxwell posing together at a Mar-a-Lago party. Despite these interactions, Trump has consistently claimed he was never on Epstein’s private aircraft and has not faced any accusations of wrongdoing related to Epstein’s criminal activities.

During Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial in 2021, her long-time pilot, Lawrence Visoski, testified that Trump had flown on Epstein’s plane multiple times. As a result, this testimony ignited speculation around the nature of Trump’s relationship with Epstein and opened the door for further media investigation.

Trump’s Response to the Allegations

That’s why Trump’s legal strategy seems so hellbent on going after Murdoch. In doing so, he froths that The Wall Street Journal has printed a “FAKE” letter. He expressed his frustration directly toward Murdoch, stating:

“I told Rupert Murdoch it was a Scam, that he shouldn’t print this Fake Story. But he did, and now I’m going to sue his ass off, and that of his third rate newspaper.” – Donald Trump

Media have gotten this letter all wrong, Trump insists. He further seems to now be claiming that he warned Murdoch about its inauthenticity prior to when it went to print. He blasted down the editor of The Wall Street Journal, Emma Tucker, for dismissing alerts regarding the letter’s lack of legitimacy.

“The Editor of The Wall Street Journal, Emma Tucker, was told directly by Karoline Leavitt, and by President Trump, that the letter was a FAKE, but Emma Tucker didn’t want to hear that,” – Donald Trump

The former president has blamed “The Radical Left Democrats” for this story leaking to the press. Now he says they’re weaponizing the storm against the administration to score cheap political points.

Legal Maneuvering Surrounding Epstein Case

In conjunction with his lawsuit against Murdoch, Trump has called on Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce all pertinent grand jury testimony related to Jeffrey Epstein’s case. And he warned of the dangers associated with the sometimes frenzied media scrutiny surrounding Epstein. Beyond that, he would like to correct the public record regarding mischaracterizations of his role.

“Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval,” – Donald Trump

So as we await her next move, we know Bondi is willing to go there. She wants to make public the grand jury transcripts from the Epstein case. She stated:

“President Trump — we are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts.” – Pam Bondi

This continuous saga is telling of the larger implications surrounding Trump’s past ties and the media stories spreading from these ties. Trump is already preparing to wage the same kind of war on Murdoch’s paper. He remains unapologetic in his resistance to what he views as politically motivated witch hunts.
