In an attempt to address misconceptions about how mpox spreads, Queensland Health explained that it’s difficult to transmit mpox from person to person. The spread It’s mainly spread through close or intimate contact with an infected person. These disclosures are tremendously important to public understanding and can help assuage fears about casual transmission.

Our health officials are flying out in front and monitoring this situation on an active basis. They implore all of us to be watchful and educated about mpox signs and how it spreads. Large congregate settings, such as the recent case above, continue to be important places where education and preventive measures are needed in the community.
