SBS Expands News Offerings with New Podcasts for Diverse Audiences

In partnership with Nickor, SBS has started two new podcasts to provide regular news updates. These podcasts help round out their digital content and bring in a new audience. The network has recently expanded “On the Money,” a lively daily ten-minute finance-and-business news wrap. This weekly national television and online show is hosted by SBS Finance Editor Ricardo Gonçalves. They produce “News in English,” a five-minute newscast tailored for English learners and those with disabilities.

These podcasts are truly tailored to the unique interests of their listeners. Here, “On the Money” provides smart, engaging analysis of how the financial world works to demystify complicated subjects in a clear and quick format. Meanwhile, “News in English” serves as an educational tool, helping non-native speakers improve their language skills while staying informed about current events.

You can listen to both podcasts in the news podcast section of the SBS website. So stop on by SBS News Podcasts and check it out! Listeners will be able to find these programs on all of their favorite podcast apps. This by necessity makes the content very accessible to people who are on the move.

The podcast On the Money has a cool logo that emphasizes the show’s winner take all approach to finance. Read all about it here! Likewise, “News in English” has an equally unique visual identity, seen here.

These initiatives are a testament to SBS’s dedication to multiculturalism and inclusivity, making sure that information can reach a wider audience. “On the Money” and “News in English” provide short, easy-to-digest, pertinent news stories. More importantly, they engage the work every day to help public understanding of critical issues.
