Jack Silvagni, a beloved figure at Carlton Football Club, has confirmed his decision to depart the club after an impactful tenure. The 27-year-old forward has informed the Blues that he intends to use his unrestricted free agency rights. This ruling allows him to make his own choice about which club is best for him. Silvagni put together the best season of his career last season, finally breaking out and showing what he could do in 13 games. Even given the public and personal turmoil swirling around the team, he was a bright spot every week as one of Carlton’s best. Silvagni’s development was stunted as he sat out the entirety of the 2024 season with a knee injury. This injury has certainly played a role in his decision to seek new pastures in his professional career.
As a third-generation Blue, Silvagni’s connection to Carlton is as deep as it gets. His dad, Stephen Silvagni, a dual premiership player.
