Ed Sheeran Announces Move to America with Family

Ed Sheeran, the biggest British singer-songwriter to achieve major success in a decade, announced blithely yesterday that he is moving to the United States. He plans to take his wife, Cherry Seaborn, and their two daughters as well. Lyra, who is almost 4 and Jupiter who is almost 2, will come along too! Sheeran is getting ready for a massive stadium tour through the U.S. next summer and fall. This action represents a dramatic turn down a different path for him.

During recent appearances on podcasts, including “Call Her Daddy” and “The 2 Johnnies Podcast,” Sheeran confirmed his plans to make America his new home. He humorously remarked, “I feel like I might be the only person moving to America.” This tongue-in-cheek observation is a testament to his quirky sense of humor, as from my understanding, moving with a young family is not without its stresses.

Perhaps fittingly, as the British pop superstar looks to branch into country music, Sheeran called Nashville his favorite American city. He expressed his commitment to this genre by stating, “When you transition to country, you can’t transition back.” This comment represents a natural musician’s quest to dive headfirst into the Nashville experience.

The artist’s choice of location goes even deeper than following his family roots. He acknowledged the difficulty of balancing touring with family life, stating, “I’m going on tour there for a while, and I have a family, so I can’t dip in and out.” This exciting discovery has led him to create a more permanent home in the U.S.

Ed Sheeran’s new Play album will hit shelves on September 12. The release is being eagerly awaited by fans and critics as he moves in a new musical direction. Additionally, he will perform at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on September 20, marking one of his key appearances during this tour.

In fact, Sheeran’s own website lists no future U.S. tour dates at all. He has been clear that he intends on spending lots of time out on tour, all across America. European Premiere of F1 The Movie on June 23, 2025, London. This event is illustrative of just how slammed Fonz is as he balances the demands of frequent promotions and in-home care.
