Carrie Ann Inaba to Miss Premiere of Dancing with the Stars Season 34

Carrie Ann Inaba, TV dance competition sensation and judge on the hit show “Dancing with the Stars,” had a big one for us on Tuesday. She will miss the live season 34 premiere, Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+. Inaba took to social media to announce the news. She’s still pretty sick and looking to take it easy until her triumphant return for the season’s second episode on September 23rd.

Demonstrating just how much she wanted to come back to the show, Inaba took to her blog to air her frustrations. She continued, “I want to make sure you knew I wouldn’t be there tonight—I’ve been feeling really unwell. I’m on the mend and very much looking forward to being back next week fighting fit.

While she was missed, Inaba nonetheless offered her support to the Smokey’s contestants heading into the premiere. She added, “In the meantime, I wish all the contestants the very best of luck. I’ll be cheering you on from home.”

While Inaba is away, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will serve as the sole judges providing feedback during the premiere. Her sudden absence has left those closest to Inaba worried for her safety. They immediately jumped on social media to greet her first with their good wishes. Derek Hough left a trail of heart emojis in support. In support of her sister, Julianne Hough cheered, “Heal up soon sis ❤️‍🩹,” and Britt Stewart sighed, “Hope you’re better Carrie Ann!”

>The 20th anniversary season of “Dancing with the Stars,” with Alfonso Ribeiro, left, and Julianne Hough as hosts. That star-studded premiere is bound to be filled with Oscar-worthy performances from amazing young acts.
