Tom Holland Takes Break After Concussion on ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Set

Tom Holland, the 29-year-old actor known for his role as Spider-Man, is currently on a temporary break from filming the latest installment of the franchise, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” The man also received a mild concussion during a dispute on the set in Glasgow, Scotland. According to reports, Holland will be back on set in a few days despite this unfortunate injury.

Holland has portrayed Spider-Man/Peter Parker since his debut in “Captain America: Civil War” in 2016. Most recently, he reprised the iconic role in 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” The current filming of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” marks his fourth appearance as the beloved superhero, with the movie set to be released on July 31, 2026.

On August 3, 2025, Holland was seen in-character and on the set as they began filming. This was a historic moment indeed, as it was the first time fans could see the production during its opening day. He then added how thrilled he was to share this special experience with the audience in attendance.

“It’s day one. My fourth-ever day one on ‘Spider-Man.’ It’s funny — putting the suit on — it feels different this time, somehow,” – Tom Holland

Holland posted a production photo featuring himself in Spider-Man’s classic suit, and our Spidey senses are telling us that this movie is going to be something special. One thing that was different about this installment, he pointed out.

“It’s a little different to anything we’ve done before, but I think the fans are gonna really respond to it,” – Tom Holland

He recognized the importance of having fans and supporters on set during the first day of filming, saying,

“It’s also the first time we ever had fans on set for day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them. We’ve got some familiar faces on set. I’m just going to do my best, hopefully get it right, no pressure.” – Tom Holland

As filming progresses, fans eagerly await further updates on Holland’s recovery and the completion of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” His return is greatly welcomed, as he remains the quintessential actor bringing one of Marvel’s most cherished characters to life.
