Anthropic has now made the same choice to open an office in Bengaluru. This shift is especially aimed at leveraging India’s new, developing, and much-lauded developer and startup ecosystem. Though the company has made headlines lately with its success in breaking into the Indian market through a joint venture with Bharti Airtel. Now they are extending their Perplexity Pro subscription free for 12 months to Airtel’s more than 360 million customers. This partnership will help put Anthropic’s powerful AI tools in the hands of more developers and organizations. Finally, it will provide the company with a stronger competitive market position.

Around half a dozen Indian AI startups have already adopted Anthropic’s Claude models into their offerings. This change serves new domestic and U.S. clients and underscores the industry’s growing focus on supporting cutting-edge AI solutions.
