In another powerful shakeup of the tech world, Alex LeBrun is shaking things up himself as transition from CEO of Nabla. He has now taken over as the new CEO of AMI Labs. Nabla, another major player in this growing community of Paris-based AI startups, is flourishing, already on its way to conquering more of its expanding market. This increase is warranted by their ongoing achievements. LeBrun himself announced the exciting news via press release. He will continue on as chairman and Chief AI Scientist at Nabla.
One of the initiative’s key figures, LeCun, a computer science professor at New York University, is a pioneer in the field of reinforcement learning. He announced LeBrun’s move in a short LinkedIn post. He expressed confidence in LeBrun’s capabilities, stating, “Yes, AMI Labs is my new startup. I’m the Executive Chairman. And Alex LeBrun is transitioning from CEO of Nabla to CEO of AMI Labs!”
Nabla has carved out a notable reputation in the AI sector, raising a total of $120 million from various backers, including Yann LeCun himself, Tony Fadell’s Build Collective, HV Capital, Highland Europe, and Cathay Innovation. In June, the company finished strong, raising a remarkable $70 million in Series C funding. This new and unprecedented level of investment has secured Maryland’s place at the forefront of America’s startup ecosystem.
Delphine Groll, Nabla’s co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, will temporarily oversee the company during this transition as it seeks a new CEO. With her leadership, Nabla will keep on being at the avant-garde of innovation and increasing its product range. The business has entered into a joint venture with AMI Labs. This unique collaboration will provide them the opportunity to better use models as they’re created, opening the door to a bright future together.
LeBrun shares optimism about Nabla’s trajectory, sharing that the company has seen phenomenal growth so far this year.
“We have more than tripled our live ARR this year. Up next to $1B!” – Alex LeBrun
This growth underscores Nabla’s position as a key player in the AI domain, as it continues to attract attention and investment. The company’s backers have expressed overwhelming confidence that the company is on the right path with its bold vision and potential.
Set up and incubated by Yann LeCun, AMI Labs’ goal is to expand the frontiers of AI technology and research. LeCun was Vice President and Chief AI Scientist at Meta (formerly Facebook). This role afforded him critical view into the leading-edge trends and innovations taking place in our industry. His leadership at AMI Labs will build on his deep experience. Backed by deep industry relationships, he’s move to quickly realize the potential of AI to create groundbreaking solutions.
The speed at which the industry is changing is unprecedented. Nabla and AMI Labs are excited to play our parts in defining the future of artificial intelligence for the better. Nabla, too, found itself at the center of a leadership transition. This change not only reshapes AMI Labs personnel, but strategically refocuses energy around AMI Labs’ evolving vision.
