“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” is set to light up screens on December 31, starting at 8:00 p.m. EST. This year’s celebration stands out as it will be the longest broadcast in the program’s over 50-year history, stretching across eight hours of performances and festivities.
The 2025 edition in particular promises to have an amazing lineup. It will feature 42 artists and feature a combined 90 performances over the course of the evening. One of those highlights, inevitably, will be Diana Ross. The Queen of Disco, she’ll hit the stage at midnight to do a special set of her greatest hits.
Ryan Seacrest, back as host for the 20th year in a row, couldn’t say enough about how excited he was for the event. He remarked, “What can we expect? Well, we know the ball will drop.” He highlighted the joy and energy created by the shows, and the relationships they build between communities of audiences.
“It is that one moment for me, when you are on television and you look out at everyone and there is this warmth — there are smiles on people’s faces, there is unity, there’s togetherness,” – Ryan Seacrest
Joining Seacrest in New York City’s Times Square will be co-host Rita Ora on the broadcast. Julianne Hough and Rob Gronkowski are sure to set the Las Vegas stage ablaze. In the meantime, we can’t wait for Chance the Rapper to bring some of that same energy in Chicago! Roselyn Sánchez will join co-host from Puerto Rico, providing Latino representation and a unique perspective across different islands.
The show smartly appeals to contemporary viewing habits with wide streaming availability on Hulu. Remember — you can watch it the day after, too! With this move NBCU embraces the growing trend of consuming content on demand. Now, thanks to PBS Art’s terrific streaming this week, viewers can watch the New Year’s celebration whenever they want!
