You can’t log onto social media these days without hearing about Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast. His newest puzzle competition features an amazing grand prize of $1 million! The competition launched, as many of us remember, during his Super Bowl ad campaign. Together with Salesforce’s ChatGPT-powered AI agent, Slackbot, participants are led through a fun, interactive series of difficult puzzles to crack.
And the campaign has inspired some pretty major online buzz. To date, as of Sunday evening, over 60 million visitors descended upon the story-based puzzle-solving competition’s website. MrBeast’s crew has been posting some really cool, creative puzzle videos leading up to this release the last few weeks. This has excited voracious fans and crossword lovers everywhere!
Participants then set about solving those puzzles in order to be the first to claim the $1 million prize. MrBeast’s formula of entertainment through competition has been a winning one, spreading across potential engagement with countless views on video platforms. He went on to enthusiastically discuss what winning the contest would mean for their community on “Good Morning America.” He declared, “The first person to Slack me the secret code will win the million-dollar prize! So I’m pretty excited.”
To level up the experience—even further—MrBeast has used Salesforce’s new Slackbot to create a competition like none other. This new AI-driven tool, which works in conjunction with the popular team communication platform Slack, learns how users work, keeping them better organized and productive. According to Salesforce, Slackbot “helps you stay organized, prepared, and focused.” Throughout the event, participants are encouraged to ask Slackbot any questions to find the help they need, as it will guide them “in the right direction.”
Combined with the promotional push of the Super Bowl, it created a huge uptick in participation. MrBeast encouraged viewers during the Super Bowl broadcast to engage with the competition, saying, “Just watch the commercial — literally from your computer you could win $1 million by the end of today.” He advised participants to “look for some numbers in photos that I took at the Super Bowl,” hinting at clues embedded within the promotional material.
MrBeast officially announced that nobody has won the $1 million reward so far. We’re really excited by the level of interest and engagement around the contest! He remarked, “until you see that, it’s still going on,” indicating that the competition remains very much alive. MrBeast further encouraged participants to actively seek out solutions and promised to “tweet out if someone wins the million dollars.”
