Disney Adventure Set to Make Waves as Largest Ship in the Fleet

The Disney Wish Adventure is the latest and largest member of the Disney Cruise Line fleet. It’s scheduled to make its first voyage on March 10th! This pioneering vessel is now underway, having departed its home port of Singapore. It’s a historic start as Disney’s first homeporting ship in Asia. With a capacity of more than 6,700 passengers, the Disney Adventure would set records. It’s sure to be a magical journey filled with familiar friends and staples from culturally relevant pop-culture staples such as “Toy Story,” “Moana,” and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Disney Adventure has an impressive 1,122 feet of zip track. That’s not what really makes it special. It’s its unique design — seven different themed areas — that really sets it apart. One of its most notable features is the Imagination Garden. It is home to a stunning, three-story castle set in the ship’s indoor atrium. This fanciful environment acts as a focal point for other arts-rich activities and entertainment available onboard.

The dining experience aboard the Disney Adventure is just as memorable. Visitors will enjoy immersive dining experiences, with specific themed restaurants serving as “port of call” destinations. At the Hollywood Spotlight Club, they’ll be treated to tantalizing creations they’ve never tasted before while exploring the magical realm of Disney storytelling.

In an unprecedented action, Disney Adventure has broken the rulebook wide open and introduced a super hero themed roller coaster. This thrilling attraction represents two major firsts for Disney cruises! This thrilling attraction aims to enhance the family-friendly adventure that Disney is renowned for, with Josh D’Amaro, the incoming CEO of The Walt Disney Company, emphasizing the creative potential of the Imagineers involved in the ship’s development.

“The Imagineers had a whole new palette to play with on this ship, from kind of a traditional splash pad to a roller coaster,” – Josh D’Amaro

D’Amaro, who currently serves as the chair of Disney’s Experiences division, was named as the company’s next CEO in February, with his new role set to take effect in March. At 55 years old, he brings a wealth of experience and a bold vision for the company’s future.

“This ship has been a long time coming. We start with a really bold vision on a product that we want to create, the Imagineers immediately get to work and here it is now,” – Josh D’Amaro

Disney Adventure with fun-filled three- or four-night itineraries. Guests get to see the best that each new destination has to offer all the while being totally enmeshed in the Disney magic! This ship really raises the bar in terms of attractions and amenities. It’s as well thought out for expeditions as it is for relaxation!

D’Amaro added his excitement in steering Disney into this new chapter, as the brand boasts a unique global reach.

“I think the Disney brand and the stories that we tell are both timeless and global in nature. They translate to all parts of the world,” – Josh D’Amaro
