Nauzhae Drake, a 26-year-old nursing student. Tweet This She celebrated her own amazing family milestone this July 7, when she welcomed her fourth child, born the same day as her three older children. Boxed In Such a rare occurrence is a spectacle worthy of admiration. It has just as much filled her family with expectation and happiness.
Nauzhae’s first child, Kewan, now 6, was born July 7 even though he was due July 20. Following him are his siblings: Na’Zaiyla, 4, who joined the family on the same date in 2021, with a due date of July 22, and Khalan, who turned 3 this year and was born on July 7, 2022, five days earlier than his due date of July 17. The family’s newest arrival, Kailowa, is just 10 days old. She took her first steps into that world on July 7th — perfect timing, as it turns out!
Nauzhae expressed her surprise at the phenomenon, stating, “I did not expect to deliver them on July 7 — it seemed like every time, it was a greater shock.” All of her children came at or before 38 weeks gestation, so their joint birthday was that much more amazing.
Along with raising her quickly growing family, Nauzhae has been spending time getting ready for her children’s birthdays. In order to ensure that this day is special for her son, she has gone the extra mile of shopping early for a great gift. I was still shopping for their birthday gifts, because I didn’t want to get them the day of… because I got them live animals. So they ended up adopting,’ she said, ‘two guinea pigs and a lizard.
The serendipity of their birth order helped form a special connection between the siblings. Together, they will always have a witness — and a permanent reminder — of their special day. Nauzhae’s story is a reminder of both the stress and joy that parenting during these unpredictable times can bring.
