Ariana Grande Accosted at “Wicked: For Good” Premiere in Singapore

Ariana Grande experienced an unsettling moment while attending the premiere of “Wicked: For Good” on November 13, 2025, at Universal Studio Singapore. Grande stopped to take pictures with fans as she walked down the yellow carpet. This dazzling red carpet has become the trademark of all promotional events for the movie.

During the Q&A portion of the event, as Grande was mingling with the audience, one attendee somehow leapt over a security wall and ran directly toward Grande. In an unexpected move, the person put an arm around the stars, with Harris clearly startled by the close encounter.

Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Yeoh—and Grande’s other friends who joined her on the carpet—immediately responded. Just as they walked to separate Grande from the attendee, security guards rushed to the scene to control the situation. This predictive prompt response was able to help protect Grande’s safety in the wake of this unexpected disruption.

The premiere celebrated the upcoming release of “Wicked: For Good,” which is set to hit theaters on November 21. This marvelous movie is an epic capstone to director Jon M. Chu’s two-part adaptation of the treasured musical. Grande stars in the film alongside Erivo. Her lead performance of “The Girl in the Bubble,” as well as Erivo’s show-stopping “No Place Like Home,” both help boost the film’s soundtrack.

The Instagram account @PyjamaMann has been cited as the source for the man who accosted Grande. The account owner shared a video of the incident, captioning it with a message directed at Grande:

“Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You.” – @PyjamaMann

ABC News has contacted the account owner directly for additional comment about the fateful night and what motivated them.

Despite the shocking occurrence, today grand and erivo went on with their involvement in the premiere celebrations after the attack. Fans expressed their excitement for “Wicked: For Good,” eagerly anticipating its arrival in theaters later this month.
