Cardi B has now been cleared of all charges in that $24 million assault lawsuit. The unexpected win came after a Los Angeles jury handed the company an $11 million prize. This unique field trip was hosted at an iconic Beverly Hills building that happens to be home to Cardi B’s obstetrician’s office.
During the time of the fight Cardi B was actually pregnant. She expressed interest in keeping her first pregnancy with partner Offset a secret. Ellis later accused the rapper of assaulting her during the confrontation, alleging that Cardi B had assaulted her as well. In fact, Cardi B accused Ellis of stalking her. His actions were a clear violation of her consent, filming her without her consent and in no way honoring her personal space.
The trial played out in Alhambra, California, where each side laid out their cases. Colin Greene testified that the racial profiling incident left her with physical and emotional scars that still live within her today. Cardi B, whose legal name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, proclaimed her innocence all along.
