Cardi B, the Grammy-winning rapper and cultural provocateur, has been in the news all week for two big reasons. On Wednesday, she shared the big news with all of us. She’s pregnant with her fourth child with her partner, Stefon Diggs, wide receiver for the New England Patriots. This announcement follows closely on the heels of the announcement of her new and highly anticipated studio album, which is scheduled to be released this Friday.
The announcement of the new album follows Cardi B’s record-shattering debut, “Invasion of Privacy.” Released in 2018, her debut album was met with tremendous critical praise. While the world waits with excited ears for the music dropping, Cardi B’s personal life has become the main event. The rapper has three other kids with her ex-husband Offset, and she’s getting ready to have a fourth.
Right now, Cardi B is in a tizzy over her pregnancy. She confesses she’s really, really “scared” for how her parents will respond. But she hasn’t broken the news to them yet, worried about how they will react.

For her part, Cardi B has shown great poise and confidence in handling the onslaught of challenges that await her. She told the AP that she is feeling “safe and very confident and very strong” as she gets ready to be a mother again. And alongside her on this incredible journey so far has been her rock, Stefon Diggs. He reassured her during a vulnerable moment, saying, “Let me heal you. Give me a chance for me to heal you.”
The couple’s relationship appears to be nurturing and supportive, which minimizes Cardi B’s worries about balancing motherhood and her career. The baby is due before Cardi B starts her “Little Miss Drama” tour in February. She is super enthusiastic about the tour and it shows!
