Catherine Princess of Wales Embraces Brunette Hair and Community Engagement

Catherine, Princess of Wales, came back in spectacular style to her royal duties on September 8, 2025. Among the stops on her trip was the National Federation of Women’s Institute headquarters in Sunningdale, just west of London. She made her public debut alongside Prince William at the Natural History Museum last week. At this world cup, she adopted a new look, donning a considerably blonder do. The recent change in her hair color comes as Catherine refreshes her look after a brief hiatus from public life due to her health struggles.

Earlier this year, Catherine shared with her fans news about her cancer diagnosis and treatment, including the fact that she was undergoing chemotherapy. With her cancer successful in remission, she’s slowly gotten back into the groove of royal duties. On her most recent appearance, she wore them in big, soft waves, featuring subtle, sun-kissed highlights. She went back to her glossy go-to dark brown hue after just a few weeks of sporting “bronde” locks.

At the Women’s Institute event, Catherine engaged with members from Berkshire and other regions to learn more about the organization’s role in fostering community spirit and skill development. The gathering provided an opportunity to reflect on the late Queen Elizabeth’s long-standing relationship with the Women’s Institute.

“The WI holds a special connection to Her Late Majesty, who was a member for 80 years, joining in 1943 and serving as President of the Sandringham WI from 2003 until her death in 2022,” – Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account.

Attendees at the event reflected sweetly on Queen Elizabeth’s presence in meetings, complete with tea, cake and spirited discussions. Catherine paid tribute to the Queen’s legacy with her participation. She further recalled the value of community projects supported by the Women’s Institute.

Catherine’s back to her royal duties now! Her family, moving later this year, will take up residence in Forest Lodge, an eight-bedroom home on the grounds of Windsor Castle. So far, they’ve been living in Adelaide Cottage, a four-bedroom home on the Windsor property.

Catherine’s recent engagements paint the picture of a woman who is rededicating herself to her royal role and ever-developing a fuller understanding of her community. She’s finding her way into this new chapter, having left her health challenges behind. By directly working with groups such as the Women’s Institute, she is furthering the impact of local community efforts and embodying the ideals and love demonstrated by the late Queen Elizabeth.
