Emilie Kiser, a major Tik Tok influencer, is devastated after her three-year-old son, Trigg died unexpectedly. Sadly he drowned in the families backyard pool in Chandler Az. The heartbreaking event took place while Kiser was working out of town. This left behind her husband, Brady Kiser, to care for their two sons on his own. According to a report by Mother Jones, the local police department recommended that Brady Kiser be charged with felony child abuse after the incident. Ultimately, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office decided there wasn’t sufficient evidence to prosecute.
In a poignant post on Instagram, Emilie Kiser reflected on the events surrounding Trigg’s death and expressed her deep sorrow. She said the loss was preventable. In her research, she found stories from parents who wished they had put a permanent pool fence around their home. Kiser does not waver that this kind of barrier would have saved her son’s life.
“I take full accountability as Trigg’s mother, and I know I should have done more to protect him,” she stated in her emotional message. Kiser’s post marked her first public communications in three months. She experienced an excruciating time of trauma and increased media scrutiny following the shooting.
Kiser proudly remembered Trigg as the “best friend” of both her and her husband. She shared, “Trigg is our baby and our best friend. The light and spirit he brought into this world was bright, pure, joyful, and undeniable.” The pain of losing him has left a significant void in their lives, as she expressed: “We miss him every second of every day and continuing forward often feels unbearable.”
The influencer hopes that sharing her story will contribute to raising awareness about child safety around pools to prevent similar tragedies from occurring. “I hope amidst this pain, Trigg’s story will help prevent other children and families from suffering the same loss,” she remarked.
