Keshia Knight Pulliam Pays Tribute to Malcolm-Jamal Warner After His Passing

Actress Keshia Knight Pulliam at the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix’s “Shirley” on March 19, 2024. She shared a sincerely touching moment with her late friend and former co-star, Malcolm-Jamal Warner. They played together as siblings Theo and Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show. This groundbreaking role was on “The Cosby Show,” which ran from 1984 to 1992. Their off-screen close friendship survived long after the show wrapped, and yesterday’s shocking, sudden death of Warner at age 75 was especially heartbreaking for Pulliam.

>In a loving homage on Instagram, Pulliam posted a quick video of Warner tearing the stage up at the City Winery in Atlanta. The video included scenes of the couple’s two young daughters leading a horse down a dirt road on what appeared to be a family farm. This imagery really hit home with how close these families’ lives have become over the years.

Pulliam expressed her grief in the post, stating, “A week ago I lost my big brother but I gained an angel.” Her emotional tribute spoke to the bond they had, which transcended their years together on “The Cosby Show.” She called Warner “family,” underscoring the depth of their bond.

The actress explained that it has taken her a while to open up about Warner’s passing publicly. She shared her gratitude for the support she received during this challenging time: “Thank you for every text call and all of the love that you have sent my way. I’ve just needed a moment…”

Here are a few of Pulliam’s thoughts, expressed candidly in their conversation. She looked back warmly on their last touched just a month before his death when she guest-starred on Warner’s podcast, “Not All Hood NAH.” During that episode, both actors reminisced about their decades-long friendship and the twin-like relationship between their daughters. Warner had remarked, “She is more than my friend, she is family. Our bond goes way beyond ‘The Cosby Show.’”

Warner’s death has resonated as a profound loss within the entertainment community. Her co-stars from “The Cosby Show,” such as Raven-Symoné, Geoffrey Owens and Bill Cosby, have all spoken out with tender memories. Each of them conveyed their personal findings and remembrances of Warner. Their love brought home just how far his influence had rippled beyond all the individual lives he touched.
