Lauren Sánchez Reveals Designer Behind Her Stunning Wedding Dress

Lauren Sánchez has taken to social media to share more details about her spectacular wedding dress. She managed to keep it a secret from fiancé Jeff Bezos until their wedding day. Italian couture house Dolce & Gabbana designed the one-of-a-kind gown. It features beautiful architectural high lace that goes all the way up to the neck, inspired by 1950s brides—a design detail that Sánchez studied rigorously in preparation for the wedding.

It was a jaw-dropping picture of Hollywood diva Sophia Loren wearing a lace dress that got Sánchez inspired. This picture inspired her dream of her own wedding-day ensemble. She walked into my trailer and said, ‘That’s non,’ when she saw Loren’s beautiful dress. This inspiration, combined with her passion for glamour, propelled her into creating a chic and eye-catching design. She called it “not only a dress but a poem.”

The detailed wedding gown took shocking 900 hours to make. Nearby, only hundreds of yards from St. Peter’s, skilled artisans equipped it at the Dolce & Gabbana workshop, also in Milan. The process was deeply personal for Sánchez, who stated, “I’ve never had a dress designed for me like this — something so personal.

Sánchez chronicled the experience on social media and shared some jaw dropping photos of herself and Bezos making their way up the aisle. The photos really highlighted the craftsmanship of her bridal gown. The photos were released with a story that originally ran in Vogue, which even featured her gown on the cover. In one of her posts, she expressed her gratitude to Dolce & Gabbana: “Thank you @dolcegabbana for the magic you made.”

With the wedding festivities just days away, Sánchez made her way out of a Venice hotel. That dress fueled rumors that her wedding gown would be based on it. By the second day of events, she had departed from Aman Venice Hotel. Fans were just as excited as us to see her breathtaking bridal looks!

Sánchez traveled across the country to choose her wedding dress. Through the process, she realized her original concept had evolved from wanting “something like a simple, sexy modern dress” to creating “something that evokes a feeling in time.” This transformation speaks to her growth as a person and to the importance of the day – her wedding.
