Princess Kate and Family Celebrate Christmas Spirit at Westminster Abbey

On December 5, 2025, Kate, Princess of Wales, led her family at the annual Christmas carol service titled “Royal Carols: Together at Christmas” held at Westminster Abbey. The occasion gathered a blend of royal family members, celebrities, and volunteers, emphasizing the spirit of community during the holiday season.

Princess Kate was accompanied by Prince William and their three children—12-year-old Prince George, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 7-year-old Prince Louis. The whole family was overflowing with holiday cheer. Princess Kate looked ultra chic in a new long green coat, while Princess Charlotte coordinated equally well with her father and brothers in a lovely navy blue dress that matched their blue suits to perfection.

This year becomes the beneficiary of a delightful custom that Princess Kate started more than five years ago. The carol service aims to honor volunteers across the United Kingdom and foster community connections during the holidays. Kensington Palace noted that the service serves as a celebration of “individuals from across the U.K. who may have dedicated or volunteered their time to be present with others, led initiatives that bring people in their community together, or offered a helping hand to those around them.”

The event brought together an extraordinary 1,600 people within the walls of Westminster Abbey. At the same time, thousands more took part in 15 regional “Together at Christmas” community carol services across the country. Among those present were notable figures from the acting and music industries, including actress Kate Winslet and actor Eugene Levy, who joined in the festive atmosphere.

Actress Kate Winslet shared the stage with musician Tom Walker, giving an emotional performance of “For Those Who Can’t Be Here.” With their beautiful and haunting performance they captured the spirit of remembrance, togetherness, and coming back home that is often found during the holidays.

Princess Kate continues to host this annual service with her family. Perhaps more than anything, their active participation is evidence of their deep commitment to community engagement. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have attended the service as they have grown older, following in their mother’s footsteps in embracing these traditions.
