Trial Date for Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Rescheduled

The public participation with actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has been reset. It will now start on May 18, 2026. This change is a major setback, given that the original effective date was set for March 9 of this year. The lawsuit focuses on the co-stars of the still-in-production movie It Ends with Us.

The delay moves the start of the trial back by almost two months, making this an even longer haul for both sides. Lively and Baldoni, both hugely popular in their roles from the romantic drama, are finding themselves on an all-too-unexpected end-of-the-legal-process-deferring delay. So far, they have risen to this challenge.

This week, the trial date was changed again. We are unclear on the reasons behind this rescheduling. Legal representatives for both actors have so far not responded to requests for comment on the replacement. This silence creates a vacuum of information about what the delay means.

Anticipation is sky high for “It Ends with Us,” and it will definitely be the movie everyone’s talking about when it drops. In the meantime, ongoing legal battles for its stars are further distorting their public perceptions. Fans of both Lively and Baldoni will be watching these developments intently. They’re not counting their chickens before they hatch as they look forward to the new trial date.
