Zach Bryan Declares He Will Never Perform in Kansas City After Controversial Online Clash

Zach Bryan, the acclaimed musician, recently announced he will never perform in Kansas City. His decision follows an online controversy that erupted after a social media post comparing Taylor Swift to Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. Then in September 2024, it hit the fan. Kansas City Chiefs fans were particularly incensed by his tweet that said, “eagles > chiefs / Kanye > Taylor.”

The backlash was swift. One such user quoted the Chiefs’ recent Super Bowl success in response to Bryan’s post when they wrote, “3 Super Bowl wins 5 seasons. However, this seemingly playful exchange became the final straw in an ongoing feud between the hot singer and local hounds. In response, Bryan then deleted his social media account. He subsequently apologized and explained that he was using the comparison as a musical critique, not a shot at Swift.

In a subsequent Instagram post, Bryan provided insight as to why he made the decision. He said he regret that’s the way the comment came off and reiterated his love of Swift’s artistry. He stated, “I love Taylor’s music and pray you guys know I’m human and tweet stupid things often.” He issued a firm warning to his fans, declaring, “Please understand I will never play in Kansas City.”

As usual, despite the chaos and controversy, Bryan was unafraid to walk straight into the lion’s den of his critics. He remarked on social media, “Bro all u have to do to piss off a chiefs fan is play a fair game of football.” His remarks always seem to light up a firestorm of protest on social media. This is not the first time Mr.

On a lighter note, Bryan seemed to adopt a more playful tone later, saying, “I missed it here guys let’s piss some people off.” He talked about feeling very bad about wanting to do wrong. He added, “Hope one day I can explain this to her,” a clear reference to Swift.

Looking ahead, Bryan recently announced that he intends to hold a concert appointment in the suburb of Overland Park, KS, just outside of greater Kansas City next year. His next big engagement is set for April 25th, 2025 at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, CA.
