Ada Valley Issues Recall After Metal Contamination Reports

Ada Valley has expanded their recall to include more than 1,000 pounds of fully cooked ground beef. This decision follows a recall after a customer found metal fragments in the juice product. The recall is an important precautionary measure to ensure the highest safety of food products and maintain consumers’ confidence.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) identified the recalled products with establishment number “10031.” However, the company did indicate that some of these potentially contaminated products could still be lurking in institutional freezers. In the wake of such a large recall, officials are encouraging consumers and institutions to inspect their freezers. As of this posting, no injuries have been reported related to the recalled products.

Gerrit Rozeboom, president of Ada Valley, said keeping Ada Valley’s customers safe is their highest priority. He stated, “We are taking this step out of an abundance of caution and in line with our core value: the safety and trust of our customers come first.”

Consumers should be reminded by this recall that they need to be vigilant about food safety at home. Ada Valley’s team is working with food safety regulators to trace the source of contamination. In response to this rash of incidents, the company has instituted new process safety management procedures and quality control standards to ensure that it doesn’t happen again.

“We are working closely with regulators to investigate the issue and have already implemented additional safety measures and quality checks to prevent future occurrences” – Gerrit Rozeboom

Consumers should bring any impacted products back to where they bought them for an immediate refund. As a prudent measure, the company is closely monitoring the situation and will be issuing communications as further information develops.
