Ethica Wines Issues Recall of Sparkling Wine Due to Safety Concerns

Ethica Wines, an Italian wine importer and distributor with U.S. operations, has announced a recall of its sparkling wine. The recall follows the manufacturer’s investigation of reported incidents of glass shattering, posing potential safety hazards. Those customers are in eleven different states. This would leave out residents from the states of Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

The firm recommended consumers discard any remaining unopened bottles. They can break and become dangerous, even if they are not actively handled. This safety concern has resulted in this urgent recall to keep consumers from experiencing any possible injury related to this product.

The recall statement made clear that this was no ordinary recall. It further cautioned that when the unopened bottles are not otherwise being handled or used, they can shatter.

Ethica Wines has called on customers who bought the natural sparkling wine to discontinue use of the product, effective immediately. To address customer concerns and inquiries regarding the recall, the company has made its customer service available through various channels.

Affected consumers should contact Ethica Wines at contact@ethicawines.com or by calling their customer care line 786-810-7132 for support. The company has pledged to continue providing support in this complicated recall process.

Beyond making things right with customers Ethica Wines wanted to convey their apologies for the inconvenience caused by the recall. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” a representative stated in their announcement.

The national recall has implications beyond the 15 states it is meant to cover. Customers in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin need to watch out. The Mumm Napa company encourages all buyers of premium sparkling wine to move fast. Email us today to get more involved!
