Sunbeam Television Corporation Partners with ABC for Enhanced Broadcasting in Miami

Sunbeam Television Corporation should probably celebrate their new alliance with ABC. 299 would provide an $18 million annual match for broadcasting services in the troubled Miami-Fort Lauderdale television market. In March, we made a wonderful new arrangement. Now, ABC Miami can air national big-event sports, news magazines, prime time and entertainment shows on Channel 7.2 over-the-air! The partnership is seen as a historic move for local media, strengthening Sunbeam Communications’ decades-long dedication to being the trusted voice of its community.

As co-president of Sunbeam Television Corporation, Paul Magnes put it, “This is a natural fit between the two organizations. He reiterated his faith in their shared talents to build a strong unified organization that will better serve local audiences.

“When the opportunity to affiliate with ABC became available, we knew that our combined resources would allow us to develop an extremely strong partnership,” – Paul Magnes

Sunbeam Television Corporation, founded almost 70 years ago, is a family business. Now, it’s more dedicated than ever to delivering local news and serving the community. Today, the company serves an incredibly important role in South Florida’s media landscape. In addition, it deeply engages with dozens of non-profit organizations across the region. This exciting new partnership with ABC is right in line with their mission to provide exceptional programming, as well as strengthen their relationships in the community.

The collaboration will see ABC Miami broadcasting not only national sports but national news and entertainment programming over Channel 7.2. This will give consumers in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale market better access to ABC’s popular, high-quality programming.

Susi D’Ambra Coplan, who works with Disney, highlighted this agreement’s potential to encourage local relationships. She urged continuance of the oft-stated commitment to serving local communities first and the unmatched value of ABC’s brand.

“We are incredibly excited to join forces with Sunbeam Television in South Florida moving forward as they not only share Disney’s enduring commitment to serving local communities, but they also recognize the value of ABC’s esteemed brand and the significant investments we’re making to our world-class network content,” – Susi D’Ambra Coplan

As this partnership unfolds, viewers can expect an enriched viewing experience that emphasizes quality content tailored for the local audience. Through its ongoing actions, Sunbeam Television Corporation has demonstrated its commitment beyond that of broadcasting, to serving the public interest, convenience, and necessity.
