SBS Launches Accessible News Podcasts for English Learners and Individuals with Disabilities

SBS has recently released a daily news podcast SBS Hindi. This new initiative, which aims to make more federal data accessible to English learners and people with disabilities, and their flagship program, “News in English,” provides a fast five-minute rundown of the day’s top stories. This succinct format makes it easy for busy audiences to get and stay informed.

The “News in English” podcast provides all the information you need to get up to speed. It’s designed for students who are acquiring the language or need additional help. This project follows through on SBS’s mission to make sure that all members of our community have access to essential information. Podcasts are available online via web browser or through any one of your favorite podcast apps, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and many others.

In addition to “News in English,” SBS offers a daily ten-minute podcast titled “On the Money,” which focuses on finance and business news. Produced by SBS Radio, hosted by SBS Finance Editor Ricardo Gonçalves. It provides a timely perspective on the state of the economy for listeners interested in understanding the economic climate in an engaging, accessible way in just 15 minutes.
