SBS Launches New Daily News Podcasts for Diverse Audiences

SBS has significantly increased its media reach by creating two new daily news podcasts targeting distinct audiences. The inaugural episode, aptly titled On the Money, provides a high-energy ten-minute rundown of all the day’s top finance and business news. At the same time, “News in English” reaches English learners and people with disabilities by offering them easy-to-understand five-minute news program.

On the Money Hosted by SBS Finance Editor Ricardo Gonçalves, On the Money demystifies and decodes the world of wealth creation and finance. This format helps our audience keep up with important economic news without drowning them in it since news is coming at us faster than ever. The podcast’s image can be found here.

In all of these things, “News in English” puts a premium on accessibility. It provides clear, accessible news content for English language learners and people with disabilities. This series started as an effort to fill unmet needs related to comprehension of complicated news, producing news that is more accessible to these impacted communities. SBS has done a terrific job of making these podcasts available on its website, where it prominently includes a section for news podcasts. You can learn more about these amazing offerings at SBS News Podcasts. Both podcasts are on all major podcast platforms. By doing this, it helps listeners interact with the content on whatever platforms they like best.

The introduction of these podcasts reflects SBS’s commitment to providing valuable news content tailored to the diverse needs of its audience. By providing a range of formats and lengths, SBS allows listeners to choose the news wrap that works for them.
