Greatwell Homes Increases Funding for Community Initiatives

Greatwell Homes, a prominent housing provider, has announced a significant increase in its funding for community projects, doubling the available resources to support local initiatives. Last year, the organization donated an impressive £15,000 to facilitate local events across the community. Those festivals ranged from colorful Caribbean food, arts and craft festivals to impactful Windrush celebrations.

Jo Savage, chief executive of Greatwell Homes, welcomed the news of the additional funding. She stressed the importance of being deeply engaged in the community to their mission. Savage said he was thrilled to increase financial support for local community organizations. He focused on their critical importance in allowing communities, especially communities of color, to prosper.

Since 2016, Greatwell Homes has been a transformative force in the community. They have made £150,000 available for grassroots funding to support other faith groups and charities. This money has been spent on everything from foodbanks and youth groups to Christmas presents for families in hardship. This level of direct, holistic support is a testament to the organization’s commitment to addressing the welfare of their community.

Greatwell Homes assesses each application for funding through its customer assembly, ensuring that resources are directed toward initiatives that resonate with local needs. The decision-making process focuses on what “works best for Greatwell Homes’ customers and communities,” ensuring that funding aligns with the specific requirements of residents.

Annual funding in recent years has more than doubled. This growth will help more grassroots organizations and community members engage in work that spurs innovative projects to build connections and revitalization efforts in their communities. Greatwell Homes to maximise financial investment. We believe the shift will create a deeper culture of community and catalyze even more dynamic community happenings.
