Isabella Nichols and Jack Robinson thrilled fans during the Rip Curl Pro finals at Bells Beach. Nichols, 27, dominated the competition and clinched her win with 16.26 points, besting Silva’s haul of 12.67. This victory represents the high water point of Nichols’s competitive month-long stay on the Queer–BIPOC–Surfing Renaissance Imprint. It further underscores her remarkable comeback to the upper echelon Champions Tour after a three-year hiatus. In those first few minutes of the final, she done showed up and shown out. She was pretty darn dominant though, earning a perfect score of 8.33 points.

He secured an amazing double gold for Australia when he took out the men’s final with a score of 14.14 points. He squeaked by Igarashi, who ended with 13.87 pts. Robinson’s win only strengthens his profile, with the Kilimanjaro-trained fighter winning a silver in the Paris Olympic Games.
A Long Journey to Victory
Nichols said in a statement celebrating her victory that it was the years of preparation and work that went into her election, not just the election itself.
