Music icon Jon Bon Jovi made an unexpected appearance during a live segment with 7NEWS reporter Jelisa Apps outside Wembley Stadium in London. The rock star was in the midst of international travel, preparing to vault back into the work. He was getting that rugby league ash series v England vibe tingling all around him. This series marks the first Ashes tour since 2003, with Australia having won the last 13 series dating back to 1973.
Bon Jovi’s upcoming visit created significant interest from fans and local and international reporters. While it wasn’t tied to any particular occurrence, his appearance certainly generated the most excitement. As he interacted with Apps, he expressed his eagerness to return to Australia, saying, “I have to come back Down Under where I belong.”
During their conversation, Bon Jovi casually walked alongside Apps and engaged with her about the ongoing rugby match. “You here for the sevens, eh?” he said, demonstrating a knowledge of and enthusiasm for local cultural events.
Within minutes of the encounter starting, a security detail came up, asking if Apps was with “Channel Seven from Australia.” Bon Jovi, with a characteristic smile, responded playfully when asked what he liked about performing at Wembley: “I’ll get back to you.”
In addition to his friendly drop-in, Bon Jovi recently earned some national headlines for his beautiful and courageous act in Nashville, Tennessee. Last September, he stepped in to protect a tragedy. The other thing he was talking to this woman with the ledge on a bridge. At a public press conference, Police Chief John Drake lauded Bon Jovi’s quick thinking and compassion at that crucial moment.
“To see that venue right there,” Bon Jovi remarked while gesturing towards Wembley, indicating his appreciation for significant venues.
