Mitch Marsh Dodges Questions on Ashes Recall Amidst Resurgent Form

Mitch Marsh has indeed been very coy about any return to red-ball cricket ahead of this summer’s Ashes series. The limited overs captain, who has garnered attention for his impressive white-ball performances, finds himself at a crossroads as discussions about his Test prospects intensify.

Meanwhile, Australia’s coach, Andrew McDonald has not ruled out the possibility of having Marsh as a Test match option against England. George Bailey, Australia’s chief selector, has acknowledged Marsh’s potential return to Test cricket. “We still haven’t given up on Mitch Marsh’s Test career,” Bailey remarked, emphasizing that there is still room for Marsh in Australia’s long-term plans.

Marsh expressed a firm intention to play for Western Australia. His coach and teammates are all 100% behind the young man and his goals.
