GoWish Achieves Record Growth in 2024

GoWish, a shopping and wish list application, is celebrating its most successful year to date. The app went live in 2015 by PostNord using the name “Ønskeskyen”. It has grown into an international powerhouse in the world of social shopping. GoWish is growing quickly, too, now with 13.6 million registered users. With almost 6.2 million active users in the United States alone and about 1 million users in the United Kingdom, the platform is widely used. With more than 3.5 million registered users in Denmark, the app’s popularity has led to increased user trust. This great milestone goes to show a market penetration of over 50%.

For fiscal year 2024, GoWish realized net profits after tax of $1.7 million. This phenomenal number underscores the establishment of a solid growth path for the company. With nearly 65,000 affiliate partnerships and 700 brand partnerships, the free app continues to grow and evolve, improving user experience and driving continuous growth. GoWish allows you to create wish lists for yourself and for family and friends. It is adaptable to different events, matching the changing lifestyles of today’s consumers.

Since its acquisition in 2020 by Danish venture capital firm Dotcom Capital, GoWish has been led by a strategic and creative leadership team. As chief growth officer, Casper Ravn‑Sørensen propels the company’s marketing strategies and new initiatives. At the same time, Mads Dahlerup, pictured above, heads the company as its CEO. Their collective creativity and adaptability have played an essential part in GoWish’s success story as it now navigates the popular, cutthroat marketplace.

GoWish’s unique, user-friendly platform allows users to quickly and easily add wishes to their wish lists. They deliver on this through linking URL embeds, product search/lookup or explore discovery through an inspiration feeds that’s filled with hundreds of millions of choices. This easy-to-learn, easy-to-use approach to public engagement has helped spur the app’s recent surge in popularity.

On Monday, GoWish had an amazing accomplishment by hitting No. 2 on the U.S. App Store. This surge in downloads can be attributed to targeted marketing campaigns across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Google, and Snap. Ravn-Sørensen emphasized the effectiveness of their marketing strategy, stating:
