Today Chris Hyams announced his resignation as the Chief Executive Officer of Indeed, effective immediately. Hyams came on board back in 2010 as the company’s Vice President of Product. Hyams, pictured above, released the following statement about Indeed’s significant accomplishments during his tenure as CEO.
“Today, over 300 million job seekers use Indeed each month. Our revenue has grown 200x. Most importantly, 27 people get hired on Indeed every minute — one every 2.2 seconds. Since we started measuring hires, more than 75 million people have gotten jobs thanks to Indeed — and we know that number is a dramatic undercount,” – Chris Hyams.
The transition comes at a crucial time for Indeed, which continues to expand its services and enhance its platform for users. Idekoba comes into that position with a strong mandate. He’s looking to continue the solid work built up by Hyams and continue moving the company forward into a place of even more growth and innovation.
“Indeed would not be what it is today without Chris, as he led the company through its transition from a simple job search engine to a two-sided talent marketplace. We’re so grateful for everything he’s done,” – Hisayuki Idekoba.
The transition comes at a crucial time for Indeed, which continues to expand its services and enhance its platform for users. As Idekoba steps into his new role, he aims to build upon the solid foundation established by Hyams and guide the company toward further growth and innovation.
