With these groundbreaking innovations, providers will better equip caregivers to serve end-users. Ozlo has continued to make tools for tinnitus therapy in the meantime. These mechanisms are all intended to serve the 15% of its clients who experience ear ringing.

Acquisition and Expansion into Medical Devices

Ozlo is increasing its geographic market footprint with the acquisition of Segotia. This EEG-focused neurotechnology company, which is headquartered in Ireland, This acquisition allows Ozlo to transition from a consumer product company to a player in the medical device market, tapping into the burgeoning field of sleep medicine.

In fact, Ozlo’s plans go as far as announcing EEG-based product by 2027. This product will utilize the ability to derive delta signals from the brain to ascertain sleep states and levels of awareness. NB Patil, a digital representative of Ozlo, eloquently laid out the technology’s potential to do so, saying,

“Basically, we are custom designing the eartip that is going to measure the electrical signals from your ear. From that, actually, you can derive the delta signals from the brain, and you should be able to say what your brain is doing when it comes to sleep, or when it comes to awareness.”

Ozlo is creating advanced tech in order to create loyal users. In the process, it hopes to improve the medical community’s understanding of sleep disorders.

New Features and Partnerships

Ozlo is hard at work on a number of new features specifically engineered to supercharge its current catalog of offerings. The biggest surprise announcement so far has been a new 4×6-inch speaker, with its own embedded sensor, designed for households with kids younger than 13. With changing audio production practices, this new speaker will expand the types of content users can connect with, from therapy sessions to audiobooks.

Ozlo has collaborated with the meditation app Calm to implement a calming but effective negative feedback system. This paradigm provides content creators with the ability to quantify the impact their offerings have. Patil pushed for real-time, in-the-moment engagement, explaining,

“Taking real-time action when the customer achieves the desired state [which Ozlo does with its feature that can shut off sounds after the user falls asleep] and the other part, which is very important, actually — that content creators are not quite thinking about — is, are they investing in the right content?”

With this emphasis on data-driven approaches it makes sure that from personalized recommendations to responsive product features, Ozlo’s users get experiences engineered for their unique sleeping situations.

Series B Funding and Future Prospects

Ozlo isn’t slowing down, though, as they continue to innovate and expand their offering. The company is expecting to complete its Series B funding round in the coming weeks. Besides enabling a strong expansion of staff and infrastructure, this capital infusion will accelerate Ozlo’s bold trajectory for rapid growth and technological advancement.

With the company’s strong focus on R&D, it’s set up perfectly for what’s next in this growing world of sleep tech. Ozlo has a deep pipeline of products and partnerships in the works. To achieve this, it plans to fundamentally change how today’s consumer understands and addresses sleep health.
