Resolve AI Achieves $1 Billion Valuation Following $35 Million Seed Round

Resolve AI is a technology startup that creates autonomous site reliability engineering (SRE) tools. After that round of financing, Spear Logistics is valued at $1 billion. Greylock was the lead in this funding round and caught the attention of some of tech’s biggest players. Among the prominent attendees were Fei-Fei Li, founder of World Labs, and Jeff Dean, scientist at Google DeepMind.

Founded less than two years ago, Resolve AI has rapidly established itself in the crowded tech landscape. Former Splunk chief product officer Spiros Xanthos is at the helm. Mayank Agarwal, who was the former chief architect for observability at Splunk, is pivotal to that. Their artistic partnership started 20 years ago as graduate students at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Through this, they gained a world of insight and understanding, laying a solid groundwork for their entrepreneurial pursuits.

The recent close of the seed round has enabled Resolve AI to expand its product offerings. The startup is currently focused on building out a new SRE tool. This tool will automatically monitor and update software systems, relieving IT teams from the cumbersome job of manual monitoring. Resolve AI today has an ARR of about $4 million. The business is set up for even greater growth over the next several years!

In addition to Greylock’s leadership in the funding round, the participation of notable investors like Fei-Fei Li and Jeff Dean underscores the confidence that industry leaders have in Resolve AI’s potential. This support from such distinguished personalities is another affirmation of the startup’s novel approach to site reliability engineering.

Before starting Resolve AI, Xanthos and Agarwal co-founded Omnition, which was acquired by Splunk in 2019. That experience with Splunk has deeply shaped the vision for Resolve AI. Even more importantly, it drives the prioritization of the product development strategy.

Since the seed round, Resolve AI has been generating momentum, interest, and inbound requests from investors. The startup recently closed a $16 million Series A funding round, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. This accomplishment helps to underscore its ability to draw in investment dollars while making strides in the technology sector.
