Emily Chancellor and Cecilia Smith ended their international careers with a victory as the Wallaroos defeated Scotland 38-31 in Canberra, adding to earlier wins in Sydney and Edinburgh.

Australia moved 14-0 ahead before penalties helped Scotland respond with three consecutive tries. The visitors took a 17-14 lead into the break, but Australia recovered and captain Siokapesi Palu Sekona's long-range try helped extend the hosts' advantage to 38-24.

Late cards for Eva Karpani and Smith gave Scotland an opening, but the visitors could not score the converted try needed to draw level. Australia received four yellow cards overall, including two for Smith, whose second booking meant she finished her 34-Test career with a red card. Two Scottish players were also sent to the sin bin.

Karpani's yellow card for a high tackle came during her 50th Test. Flyhalf Waiaria Ellis was also sin-binned late in the opening half for slowing Scotland's attack.

Former captain Chancellor made her final appearance in her 42nd Test, having debuted in 2018. Teammates carried both retiring players from the field after the match.

The Wallaroos have no further matches before their program becomes full-time under new coach Sione Fukofuka.
