Western Force recruit Zac Lomax has been selected to face the USA in New Jersey for Australia A, giving the former rugby league player an opportunity to advance his bid for Wallabies selection.

The 27-year-old is seeking a place at the 2027 home World Cup before returning to the NRL with the PNG Chiefs in 2028. Wallabies coach Les Kiss has indicated he remains open to selecting Lomax despite his planned move back to league.

The selection follows a Wallabies recall for Force teammate Kurtley Beale for the UK spring tour. Beale, 37, has not represented the Wallabies since 2021 and was called in after Hunter Paisami pulled out for personal reasons.

James Ramm and Kalani Thomas have also been added to the tour group, which faces England, Scotland and Wales before the inaugural Nations Championship finals, scheduled for 21–23 November in the UK.

Ramm will join the Force next season on a two-year contract after four seasons with Northampton and a stint at Northland. He said the prospect of a home World Cup was a major factor in his return.

Corey Toole will feature alongside Lomax for Australia A. Thomas and Tom Lambert are also selected and will link up with the Wallabies in the UK after the USA match.
