Gold Coast commits to re-drafting Ugle-Hagan and Himmelberg
The Suns have delisted both forwards but intend to select them again, while midfielder Ben Jepson has signed a one-year extension.

Gold Coast says it intends to bring Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and Elliott Himmelberg back through the AFL draft after delisting both forwards ahead of the deadline for lodging club lists.
Ugle-Hagan, 24, made three senior appearances for Gold Coast in 2026 after arriving from the Western Bulldogs in a trade involving pick 74. The former No.1 draft selection departed the Bulldogs at the end of 2025 following off-field challenges.
Himmelberg has not made a senior appearance for Gold Coast. The club said he had suffered several serious injury setbacks. He previously played 50 AFL games with Adelaide.
The Suns also confirmed a one-year contract extension for midfielder Ben Jepson, keeping him at the club for 2027. The 25-year-old has made six appearances since being recruited through the supplemental selection period ahead of the 2025 season.
Gold Coast holds picks 8, 81, 85 and 103 for the 2026 AFL draft, scheduled for 19 and 20 November.
St Kilda has separately pledged to take Ryan Byrnes and Dan Butler in the rookie draft after delisting them. Saints football boss Lenny Hayes said both players had been told the club was committed to selecting them again following discussions since the season ended.
