Jannik Sinner ends coaching partnership with Darren Cahill
Reports point to Sweden's Magnus Norman as the replacement for the Australian coach, who began working with Sinner in 2022.

World No.2 Jannik Sinner has announced that Australian Darren Cahill is leaving his coaching team, bringing their partnership to an end after it began in 2022. The Italian confirmed the split in an Instagram video.
Sinner thanked Cahill for his contribution to both his tennis and personal development. In a statement, Cahill described coaching Sinner as a privilege and wished him and the team continued success.
Reports indicate Magnus Norman, a former world No.2, is poised to join assistant coach Simone Vagnozzi. The 50-year-old Swede previously coached Robin Soderling to two French Open finals and a top-five ranking, and helped Stan Wawrinka win three grand slam titles.
Cahill had expected to depart in 2025 but extended his time with Sinner. At Wimbledon, he said he intended to remain through the end of 2026 before discussing his future. He has coached four players who reached No.1.
A persistent knee injury has kept Sinner sidelined since his Wimbledon victory in July, when he claimed a fifth grand slam title. His return is expected in December at Saudi Arabia's Six Kings Slam exhibition. He has opted out of the remaining ATP tournaments for 2026, leaving Alexander Zverev assured of the year-end No.1 ranking.
