Parramatta retains Josh Addo-Carr after negative B-sample
The winger will remain with the Eels, but the NRL has not yet finished its own investigation.

Parramatta has decided against sacking Josh Addo-Carr after forensic testing returned a negative result following an alleged positive roadside test for cocaine in September.
The 31-year-old winger is set to complete his contract with the Eels. Before reaching its decision, the club's board gave him an opportunity to answer a breach notice at a meeting.
The NRL's investigation remains unfinished. Addo-Carr is expected to receive clearance from the league to resume training, but that decision has not yet been made.
NSW Police said officers stopped a vehicle on Enmore Road in Newtown on 11 September 2026. The driver returned a negative breath test, while a preliminary drug wipe allegedly indicated cocaine. Police then collected an oral fluid sample for forensic analysis, which returned a negative finding. Police said they expected to take no further action.
Addo-Carr's lawyer, Elias Tabchouri, said police had notified both him and his client that testing detected no drugs. He said Addo-Carr remained committed to Parramatta.
