A membership sticker describing Tasmania Devils supporters living interstate as mainlanders has prompted a humorous complaint from radio host Rohan Edwards, with the club offering to send him a replacement.

Edwards, who was born and raised in Tasmania and now works in Newcastle, discussed the merchandise on The Hit Network’s Jess & Rohan after renewing his foundation membership. He said the A$25 pack contained just one sticker, which he would not put on his car.

The sticker carried the club logo on an outline of Australia. Edwards accepted that addresses had been used to sort memberships, but argued that living on the mainland did not change his Tasmanian identity.

Co-host Jess Farchione noted that the club did not know his family’s Tasmanian background. Responding on Instagram, the Devils joked that Edwards sounded like a mainlander and offered another sticker.

The club’s A$10 foundation membership attracted more than 200,000 sign-ups in 2024. Formal memberships subsequently passed 20,000 by April, with the foundation deal replaced by an A$25 option.

Tasmania’s first AFL home matches will be played at existing venues in Hobart and Launceston before the club moves to Macquarie Point Stadium.
