Bruce McAvaney returns to racing commentary for Melbourne Cup
McAvaney will join Triple M’s coverage, returning to Flemington for the first time since Cup Day 2019.
Bruce McAvaney will call the Melbourne Cup as part of Triple M’s commentary team, marking his return to race broadcasting and his first visit to Flemington since Cup Day 2019.
McAvaney said he was excited about returning to the track and joining the coverage. Calling the Melbourne Cup had been a childhood dream, he said.
Triple M’s live, free broadcast will begin at 10.30am AEDT. Separately, Seven and 7plus will carry live coverage from midday of the A$3 million Big Dance at Royal Randwick.
