Millie Elliott’s daughter interrupts interview after Jillaroos beat Samoa
Elliott made 22 tackles in 40 minutes during the 40-0 World Cup victory, before daughter Gigi turned her attention to the interview microphone.

Millie Elliott’s contribution to the Jillaroos’ 40-0 Rugby League World Cup victory over Samoa was followed by an interruption off the field, with her one-year-old daughter Gigi repeatedly grabbing at the microphone during an interview.
Elliott recorded 22 tackles across 40 minutes of play. Afterwards, she said the Jillaroos had worked hard against a quality opponent to open their campaign with a win.
Despite the score, Elliott said there was plenty for the team to improve. Players were bringing different club systems and routines into the World Cup, she said, and needed more training and matches together to develop their combinations.
As Elliott spoke, Gigi tried several times to pull the cover from the microphone. Elliott initially nudged her daughter away, but Gigi eventually removed it, prompting an apology from her mother.
Gigi, whose father is NRL veteran Adam Elliott, was offered the cover to keep. When her mother invited her to speak, she instead grabbed it again and took a bite.
