The Reserve Bank of Australia has designated Prosegur Australia Pty Ltd under the Cash Distribution Framework Act 2026, bringing the company under the framework’s regulatory requirements.

The RBA said the designation makes Prosegur Australia subject to obligations intended to support the sustainability, resilience and efficiency of Australia’s cash distribution system.

Prosegur Australia is wholly owned by Linfox Armaguard Pty Limited. Its parent company, Armaguard, received its designation under the same legislation on 3 September 2026.

Before making the designation, the RBA consulted Prosegur Australia and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Consultation with the commission is required under subsection 16(1) of the Act.
