Australia look likely to retain their Durban line-up for the second Test against South Africa in Gqeberha, with Cameron Green still sidelined by injury and Josh Inglis fit again following a fractured finger.

Inglis appears unlikely to displace either Nic Maddinson or Beau Webster. A win at St George’s Park would give Australia the series with one Test remaining and make them the first visiting team to win a series in South Africa in almost seven years.

South Africa have dropped Tristan Stubbs and wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne. Marques Ackerman and Matthew Breetzke will come into the side, while Ryan Rickelton will take over wicketkeeping duties. Kagiso Rabada is also set to return.

Scott Boland pressed his selection claims during a strong nets session, although including him would require Australia to leave out one of their four leading bowlers. Australia quick Josh Hazlewood said he expected Boland to have a role during the series and over the next 12 to 18 months.
