Ben, Will and JD Hayes celebrated feature victories in NSW and Victoria, with Evaporate taking Rosehill’s A$2 million Five Diamonds after earlier successes for Act Up and Soldi.

Nash Rawiller guided Evaporate past Zambardo near the finish and kept the horse in front to secure the win. Plymouth added a third placing for Lindsay Park, ahead of fourth-placed Declichy Boulevard.

Will Hayes credited Rawiller’s ride and said having two stable runners finish first and third made it a proud occasion for the team.

The stable’s juvenile wins came through Soldi in Flemington’s A$400,000 Inglis Banner and Act Up in Rosehill’s A$1 million Golden Gift. Act Up overcame Silent Intent to win, with the prizemoney securing his place in next year’s Golden Slipper field.

Hayes said Soldi’s victory had strengthened the team’s confidence in Act Up, who had previously finished fourth behind the filly in the Debutant Stakes. The stable will check how Act Up recovers before deciding whether to keep racing him or spell him for the autumn.
