Christina Keing has begun work as Tyro’s chief information security officer, taking the permanent position after Arun Singh’s departure in July. She announced the appointment through a LinkedIn post.
Keing said her early priorities would include applying AI to improve Tyro’s cyber defences, responding to emerging threats and making security part of operations across the company.
She said AI was making cyber threats faster, more sophisticated and more automated, requiring an equally ambitious defensive response. Protecting the trust merchants place in Tyro was fundamental to the company’s success, she said.
Before moving to Tyro, Keing worked at Deloitte for almost nine years. Her most recent position covered cloud security architecture and engineering as the global and APAC lead. Her earlier experience includes security architecture positions at NAB and Seek.
Singh held the CISO role for a year. Ralph Young, a senior member of Tyro’s information security leadership, filled the position on an interim basis before Keing arrived.
